Hair & Makeup for a photo session: It is so important to look your best not all companies or photographers will look at the potential beauty of a model, incomplete makeup or the wrong hair style for your face shape can be a major setback on being selected for jobs.
Just a few tips: I'm no styles by any means. But, here are a few tips. Hair styles should be based in part on your faces shape and the look you wise to accomplish. Hair neatness should be based on the location, ex. outdoor and windy a wild look is OK, indoor nicely brushed and/or styled, hair up and hair down combinations. Come to your photo sessions with your hair curled or styled nicely, however you should expect to wet your hair and get a wilder/rougher look close to the end of a photo session with most photographers.
Makeup, in print the size of your eyes (doe eyes) and their color can make or break a image. The one thing I notice the most is no eye liner around the top and bottom of eyes. Fell free to change your eye shadow and lip color to accent the outfit's and in some cases your eye's color. Consider water proof makeup for swimwear session if at a lake or other wet looks. Non water proof limits the number of photos that can shot before touch-ups are needed. In print or on a website, your eyes need to appear larger than life.
Finger and toe nails, if polished should match, or match the outfits.
Lips, always use lip gloss or glossy lip sticks, lip stick color should match outfits color, indoor or outdoor.
